FAQ's

Clear guidance for a confident and seamless Velaisance experience.

Do I need a consultation before treatment?

A consultation is required for new clients interested in injectable treatments, weight management, hormone-related care, body contouring, and certain wellness services. During your consultation, we will discuss your goals, review your medical history, evaluate your needs, and curate a treatment plan specifically for you.

Established clients may not need a separate consultation for every appointment. However, your health, treatment goals, and eligibility will always be reviewed before services are provided.

What should I expect during my first appointment?

Your first appointment begins with a thoughtful conversation about your concerns, goals, health history, medications, allergies, and previous treatments. Depending on the service, your visit may also include a clinical assessment, photographs with your consent, vital signs, laboratory recommendations, or other appropriate screening.

We will explain your available options, expected benefits, potential risks, alternatives, aftercare, and associated costs before you make a treatment decision. Same-day treatment may be available when clinically appropriate and when the schedule allows, but it is never guaranteed.

Please complete all required forms through the secure Prospyr Med patient portal before your appointment.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

We understand that plans can change. Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice may result in the loss of your deposit or a late-cancellation fee. Missed appointments may require a new deposit before another appointment can be scheduled.

Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may affect your ability to book future services. Exceptions may be considered for genuine emergencies at the discretion of Velaisance.

Are deposits refundable?

Appointment deposits are nonrefundable and are applied toward the cost of the scheduled service.

A deposit may be transferred once to a rescheduled appointment when at least 48 hours’ notice is provided. Deposits are forfeited for missed appointments, late cancellations, or rescheduling requests made outside the required notice period.

If Velaisance determines that you are not an appropriate candidate after your clinical evaluation, your deposit may be applied to another eligible service or handled according to the circumstances of your appointment.

Who performs aesthetic and wellness treatments?

Services are performed by appropriately licensed and trained healthcare professionals in accordance with California law, professional standards, and Velaisance clinical protocols.

Clinical care is led by Synedra Coleman, DNP-C, MSN, APRN, FNP, CNOR. The clinician responsible for your appointment will be identified during the booking and consultation process. Certain services may require additional medical oversight, laboratory testing, or collaboration with another qualified healthcare professional.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Velaisance accepts major credit and debit cards and other approved payment methods displayed through our secure booking and payment system. Payment is due at the time services are provided unless another arrangement has been approved in advance.

Most elective aesthetic services are not covered by health insurance. Clients wishing to use HSA or FSA funds should confirm eligibility directly with their plan administrator. Velaisance cannot guarantee reimbursement or the eligibility of a particular service.

Are financing or payment plans available?

Financing or payment arrangements may be available for select treatment plans. Availability, eligibility, approval requirements, and financing terms vary.

Any applicable fees, payment schedules, and conditions will be clearly explained before you commit to treatment. Please contact Velaisance before your appointment if you would like to discuss available options.

How should I prepare for injectable treatments?

Your clinician will provide instructions based on the treatment you are receiving. Before your appointment:

  • Complete your health history and medication list accurately.
  • Tell us about allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, recent illnesses, vaccinations, dental procedures, and previous injectable treatments.
  • Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before treatment.
  • Arrive with a clean face whenever possible.
  • Plan injectable treatments well in advance of important events because temporary swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising may occur.

Certain nonprescription medications and supplements can increase the likelihood of bruising. Do not discontinue aspirin, anticoagulants, prescription medication, or medically necessary supplements unless the healthcare professional who prescribed them has confirmed that it is safe to do so.

Your appointment may need to be postponed if you have an active infection, rash, cold sore, illness, or inflammation near the intended treatment area.

What should I avoid after treatment?

Aftercare depends on the treatment performed. You will receive specific instructions before leaving your appointment.

For many injectable and aesthetic treatments, you may be advised to temporarily avoid:

  • Rubbing, pressing, or massaging the treated area
  • Strenuous exercise
  • Alcohol
  • Saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, or excessive heat
  • Prolonged sun exposure
  • Facials, facial massage, or additional cosmetic procedures
  • Makeup or skincare products that may irritate the treatment area

Follow the exact timeline provided by your clinician rather than applying general aftercare instructions to every treatment.

Contact Velaisance promptly if you experience concerning or rapidly worsening symptoms. After dermal filler treatment, unusual or severe pain, vision changes, or white, gray, blue, or blotchy skin near the injection area requires immediate medical attention. Difficulty breathing or swallowing, symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, chest pain, or other emergency symptoms require emergency care—call 911.

Does Velaisance offer mobile or concierge services?

Yes. The Gleaux Concierge offers select Velaisance experiences in approved private residences, workplaces, hospitality settings, events, and other suitable locations.

Not every treatment can be performed through the mobile service. Eligibility depends on the requested treatment, medical screening, environment, travel distance, clinician availability, and applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

A consultation may be required before a concierge appointment is confirmed. Travel fees, service minimums, or group-booking requirements may apply and will be disclosed in advance.

What areas does The Gleaux Concierge serve?

The Gleaux Concierge serves Walnut Creek and select communities throughout the greater Bay Area.

Availability is determined by location, travel distance, the service requested, and clinician scheduling. Please submit a concierge request with the complete service address so our team can confirm availability and provide any applicable travel fees or minimum booking requirements.

Are clients medically screened before IV hydration?

Yes. Every client must complete an appropriate medical screening before receiving IV hydration.

Screening may include a review of your medical history, symptoms, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, previous reactions, and relevant health conditions. Vital signs, laboratory testing, medical clearance, or further evaluation may also be required.

IV hydration is not appropriate for everyone. A clinician may modify, postpone, or decline treatment when it is not considered medically appropriate. IV hydration is not a substitute for emergency care, diagnosis, or ongoing treatment from your primary healthcare provider.

Are weight-management, GLP-1, and hormone services appropriate for everyone?

No. These are medical services and are only offered after an individualized evaluation.

Eligibility may depend on your health history, current medications, symptoms, physical assessment, treatment goals, laboratory findings, potential contraindications, and the clinician’s professional judgment. A particular medication or therapy will never be guaranteed solely because a consultation has been scheduled.

If treatment is appropriate, your plan may include ongoing monitoring, follow-up appointments, laboratory testing, nutrition and lifestyle guidance, and medication adjustments. Results vary, and no specific outcome can be guaranteed.

How do I know which service is right for me?

You do not need to choose a treatment on your own. If you are uncertain, begin with a personalized consultation through our secure Prospyr Med booking system.

We will listen to your concerns, evaluate your needs, and curate recommendations based on your goals, health history, lifestyle, treatment preferences, and clinical eligibility. Our priority is to help you make an informed decision—not to pressure you into a service.

How do I book an appointment?

Appointments are booked securely through Prospyr Med, Velaisance’s scheduling and patient-care platform.

Select Book a Consultation or Book an Appointment on our website to view availability. Existing clients may use the Prospyr Med patient portal to manage appointments and complete required forms.

Please do not send medical histories, photographs, medication details, or other private health information through social media or an ordinary website contact form.
